Submission Process
A clear, step-by-step guide from submission to publication
Process Overview
Our publication workflow follows six clear stages, ensuring transparency and quality at every step.
Step 1: Choose Your Journal
Selecting the right journal is crucial for reaching your target audience. We recommend the following approach:
- Browse our journals page to explore available titles
- Review the Aims & Scope of each journal to ensure alignment with your research
- Check recent publications to understand the type of work each journal features
Step 2: Prepare Your Manuscript
A well-prepared manuscript streamlines the review process and improves your chances of acceptance:
- Follow the Author Guidelines for formatting, structure, and reference requirements
- Prepare a cover letter addressing the editor, highlighting the significance and novelty of your work
- Ensure all ethical compliance requirements are met, including ethics approvals and conflict of interest declarations
Step 3: Submit Online
All submissions are handled through our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform:
- Register for an account or log in to the journal's OJS portal
- Follow the 5-step submission wizard: Start, Upload Submission, Enter Metadata, Confirmation, Next Steps
- Upload your manuscript file along with any supplementary materials (datasets, appendices, cover letter)
Step 4: Peer Review
Every submission undergoes a rigorous evaluation to ensure scholarly quality:
- The editor conducts an initial screening for scope, quality, and formatting compliance
- Suitable manuscripts are assigned to two or more independent expert reviewers
- We employ a double-blind review process — neither authors nor reviewers know each other's identity
- The average turnaround time for a first decision is 7 days
Step 5: Revision & Decision
Based on reviewer feedback, the editor will reach one of the following decisions:
- Accept — The manuscript is accepted for publication as submitted
- Minor Revision — Small changes are required before acceptance
- Major Revision — Significant revisions are needed; the manuscript will be re-reviewed
- Reject — The manuscript does not meet the journal's standards or scope
Authors are typically given 14 days to complete and resubmit their revisions along with a detailed response letter.
Step 6: Publication
Once your manuscript is accepted, the following steps bring your work to publication:
- Article Processing Charge (APC) payment of USD 600
- Professional copyediting and typesetting by our production team
- DOI assignment for permanent identification and citation tracking
- Online publication on the journal's website with full open access
- Indexing in major academic databases for maximum discoverability
