ABSTRACT
This paper focuses on the decoupling of self-adjoint second-order linear systems. It is proposed a method with congruence transformation matrix that preserving the Lancaster structure. This method requires fewer parameters during the decoupling while remaining the spectrum of the system before and after decoupling. Numerical simulation experiments demonstrate the implementation results achieved by applying this method to system decoupling.
